Lu did her BA and MA in the US. Now living partly in San Francisco and partly in Guangzhou/Beijing. Works under the name of Deer Fang.

Deer Fang is a video performance artist. Fang's recent work creates ways of narrating by selecting, combining and expanding text from novels, news and the Internet. She embeds social situations within the production of video and creates events to investigate participatorial performance and social behaviour.
